Our Volunteers
Our volunteers are the heartbeat of Sutton Lodge. Their time, energy, and compassion help create the warm, friendly atmosphere our members enjoy every day. Whether they’re serving meals, supporting activities, offering companionship, or simply sharing a smile, our volunteers make a meaningful difference in the lives of our members.
We are incredibly grateful for their kindness and commitment.
We are always looking for new volunteers so please get in touch if you are interested.
How to Become a Volunteer
Volunteers are at the heart of what we do.
By giving your time, you help create a warm, welcoming place where older people feel valued, supported, and connected.
If you're kind, patient, and enjoy spending time with others, we would love to hear from you.
Here’s how to become a volunteer with us:
Fill Out Our Volunteer Form
Start by completing our simple online form here;
Meet With Us for a Friendly Chat
Once we receive your form, we’ll invite you in for a relaxed meeting.
We’ll explain the volunteer roles, responsibilities, and what a typical day looks like.
It’s also a great chance for you to ask questions and for us to make sure the role is a good fit for you.
Safeguarding & DBS Checks
Because we support vulnerable adults, all volunteers must complete the necessary safeguarding steps, including a DBS check.
Don’t worry — we’ll guide you through the process and support you at every stage.
Buddy Up With an Experienced Volunteer
If you are successful, you’ll be paired with one of our wonderful experienced volunteers.
They’ll show you the ropes, help you learn the role, and make sure you feel confident and comfortable.
You’ll never be on your own — we’ll always be here to support you.
💛 Join Our Volunteer Family
Volunteering with us is rewarding, sociable, and truly makes a difference to the lives of older people in our community.
We’d be delighted to welcome you into our team.
